The protest encampment of Philadelphians experiencing homelessness has grown to approximately 130 tents as of Monday afternoon. The encampment at 22nd and Ben Franklin Parkway began Wednesday after five unhoused people reached out to organizers asking for support in advocating for the city to provide low-income housing.

A sign hangs at the encampment set up at 22nd and Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia on Friday, June 12, 2020. There is currently a community of homeless people and protesters living and volunteering there.
