People of all ages returned to Ocean City’s entertainment landmark Sunday for one last tribute to childhood memories.

The Gillian family has been running amusements of one sort or another in Ocean City for 94 years. The Wonderland Pier was a family destination for generations, but Jay Gillian, the third-generation owner who is also Ocean City’s mayor, announced in August that it was no longer viable. He said he had tried his hardest but couldn’t make it work.
