A documentary film “Kenyatta: Do Not Wait Your Turn” directed by Hatfield native Tim Harris was filmed over 18 months during the campaign. It is the underdog story of a unique candidate — a Black gay man from North Philly who ran and finished third, going up against then-Lt. Gov. John Fetterman and former U.S. Rep. Conor Lamb. The film premiered in March at the London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival, BFI Flare, and then screened at LA’s Outfest QTBIPOC Fusion Film Festival. Harris hopes to find a distributor.
