The 47th annual Odunde Festival returns to South Street after a two-year hiatus. It is one of the largest in the country dedicated to African American culture and the African diaspora. Lois Fernandez founded Odunde in 1975, inspired by the new year’s traditions of Nigeria’s Yoruba people.
