The Palestra to host a Big 5 doubleheader

The Palestra will host a Big 5 doubleheader on Nov. 30, 2022. Temple will take on La Salle and Penn will play St. Joseph's. The Palestra, on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania, has been called a cathedral, the "St. Peter's of basketball." It is believed to have hosted more basketball games involving more schools over more seasons than any other college gym.

The Palestra is believed to have housed more college basketball games than any other venue is taking the winter off. The March madness it once knew has turned to March sadness. It is shown after a snowfall in Feb. 2021.
