The first such gathering in Philadelphia was held in June 1972. This year, instead of a parade, organizers planned the community march from Independence Mall to the Gayborhood, with three stops along the way to highlight diverse voices from the Lenni Lanape people to people of color and trans folks to LGBTQ+ elders.
