Now in its 31st year, Hoagie Day on Independence Mall has become a staple of Wawa Welcome America, Philly's July 4th celebration.

Wawa employees Hayleigh Wentz and Aliza Hughes (right) keep the hoagie goodie bags and the line moving. Wawa stores in the region also built and donated more than 30,000 hoagies to local first responders and community heroes serving their neighborhoods.

Philly's extended celebration of independence runs through July 4, 2023, and features parade, concerts on the Mall and the Parkway, free museum days, a block party and two nights of fireworks.
