White Supremacists March in Philadelphia on the Eve of July 4th

The Patriot Front, a white supremacy group, marched through Center City, Philadelphia on the eve of July 4th. The group — designated by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a “white nationalist hate group,” and an offshoot of the white supremacist organization that marched in Charlottesville during the deadly 2017 “Unite the Right” rally — arrived in Philadelphia with flags and shields in several Penske moving trucks.
They were met with opposition from bystanders and counterprotesters, who said that members of the hate group hit and kicked them under the cover of smoke bombs.
City officials denounced Patriot Front’s presence, and organizations monitoring extremist and hate speech said they were troubled by the group’s appearance. Last month, the group also defaced a mural memorializing George Floyd in Olney.
