At a public meeting in Chinatown with developers Wednesday evening, residents and community members voiced concerns over the Sixers’ plans for a new arena nearby.
The Philadelphia 76ers want to demolish a block of the Fashion District Philadelphia shopping center (the former Gallery) to build a $1.3 billion arena blocks from Chinatown. The team’s lease at the Wells Fargo Center is up in 2031.
