A South Jersey coronavirus patient leaves the hospital after 44 days on a ventilator

Darnell Lewis was on a ventilator for more than 44 days due to the coronavirus. On July 8, Lewis was wheeled through a "clap out" before being released from our Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes in Camden. Lewis survived COVID-19, even after 60 days in the hospital. "People, this is real," Lewis said.
