Auctions: Philly foursome who brushed black history

Although Swann Auction Galleries' African American art sale will take place Thursday in New York, at least four of the artists represented in it significantly contributed to Philadelphia's role in shaping American black history: Dox Thrash, Henry Ossawa Tanner, Claude Clark, and David Bustill Bowser.

David Bustill Bowser's portrayal of Abraham Lincoln is expected to sell for $60,000 to $90,000.
