Tennessee natives Laura and Gary Willett had once owned a farm in Arkansas, so the house in Buckingham Township was especially attractive when they were moving to the area in 2020 for Laura’s work.

“It felt more like a farming community,” said Laura, who is in nursing administration, but it was close to attractions such as Peddler’s Village.

The Willetts — Gary is in operations for a manufacturing company — also liked the roominess for their kids, 9-year-old twins and a 4-year-old daughter.

“It’s a beautiful yard with tons of landscaping,” said Laura, and the couple liked the Central Bucks School District.

But now, seeking even more room, they are moving to Williamsport, which Laura said “feels like the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.”

The 1.24-acre Bucks property is in the Village of Pineville and has a rear portion zoned commercial that has two structures on it, one of which has been used for an office in the past.

The house has hardwood floors throughout the first floor, and the main level has the living room, dining room, kitchen, primary bedroom, and full bath.

The galley-style kitchen has granite countertops, a tin backsplash, under-cabinet lighting, recessed ceiling lights, and a double steel sink with views into the family room.

The dining room overlooks the side yard and has built-in storage closets and is adjacent to the original main bathroom with a stall shower.

Three bedrooms, one of which serves as an office, are on the second floor, where there is access to a large attic.

The third-floor bathroom has ceramic tile flooring, a pedestal sink, and a shower/tub combo.

The 2,400-square-foot house has natural gas for cooking and hot water, with forced air for heating and cooling. The property has a botanical garden and a patio.

Recent improvements include extensive rewiring and roof replacement in 2020, repaving the driveway, waterproofing the basement, installing a new hot water heater, renovating the dining room, and updating the sunroom windows.

There is parking space for four cars on the property

The house is listed by Maria Quattrone & Associates at RE/MAX @ HOME for $575,000.
