Terry Shepard was driving on Conestoga Road near Bryn Mawr with his wife, Debra Thomas, shortly after the couple moved from Baltimore when he turned to her and said, “I think this is the most beautiful place we’ve ever lived.”

Coming from him, that was a major compliment. Like many college administrators, they have lived in many places: California, Texas, and Maryland, among others.

But drawn by friends from Thomas’ previous work at Bryn Mawr College, they have settled here permanently. When they sell their three bedroom, two-bath condo, their next stop will be at a retirement village just two miles away.

The Montrose Village condo has been updated with a complete kitchen renovation, new bathrooms, cherry hardwood floors, updated millwork, crown moldings, baseboards, and solid wood doors.

The kitchen has white cabinetry and quartz countertops and leads to the front garden.

Entrance to the unit is through a marble-tiled foyer, and the dining room opens to the living room. The main floor has a powder room.
