Erin George, an ob/gyn with a busy surgical practice, had no time for that.

But with a bit of luck and research help from her mom, she landed what she thinks was the perfect place for her and her son.

“I wanted more space,” she said, and the three-bedroom, three-bath home in the Garden Court section of West Philly had that and more, Including neighbors she immediately liked.

It was also move-in ready, having been totally rehabbed by the investment company that had it on the market.

Virtually everything in the 125-year-old house had been replaced when she moved there in 2020, including the roof, HVAC, plumbing, electric, kitchen, bathroom, and windows.

George says the open first floor is perfect for letting her keep an eye on her son while he’s playing. “I can see him everywhere,” she says.
