St. Joseph’s new chapel and residence speak to the power of Philly’s brick traditions

It's rare to see a religious group build an ambitious new design at a time that so many churches and synagogues are selling off their magnificent buildings.

Arrupe Hall, a residence for Philadelphia's Jesuit priests, was completed this spring on Lapsley Lane, on the St. Joseph's University campus. It will house 15 priests working at the university, St. Joseph's Prep and elsewhere in the area.
