Nothing is stopping Jared McCain from giving his TikTok fans the content they want — not even surgery.

McCain underwent surgery to repair his torn meniscus in his left knee on Tuesday after he reported left knee soreness following the Sixers’ loss to the Indiana Pacers. After his procedure, the rookie wasted no time posting on social media.

McCain — still in his gown and hair net — shared an update from his hospital bed, coming out of anesthesia, thanking fans for their support. But that’s not all. He also yelled out one of DJ Khaled’s taglines “we the best music” before singing Drake’s “Rich Baby Daddy” song.

“I still got some love deep inside of me, no need to lie to me,” McCain sang. “I know you got a guy. He’s not a guy to me.”

It’s no surprise that McCain would take time to post to his 4.4 million followers on TikTok. The former Duke standout was known for his viral TikTok videos, including his a cappella videos such as his version of Irish singer Aimee Carty’s “2 Days Into College.” McCain’s rendition of the song went viral, with many users creating edits that included his basketball highlights.

McCain became so well known for his TikToks that during the NBA Draft they played some of his videos after he was selected 16th overall by the Sixers. His content creating gig didn’t end after entering the NBA. He gained even more traction. His page now consists of dancing videos, singing a cappella and plenty of Drake sounds.

This wasn’t the only time McCain used the audio from Drake’s “Rich Baby Daddy” — he typically posts videos of himself lip-synching to the song. The last video to gain a lot of attention with the song was a video featuring Kyle Lowry, who looked like a confused uncle.

Although it’s unclear when the rookie will make his return to the court, McCain’s return to TikTok isn’t anything fans need to worry about.
