Joel Embiid, Paul George and Kyle Lowry will miss the Sixers’ matchup against Washington Wizards
Andre Drummond is listed as questionable.
The 76ers will be a shell of themselves in Wednesday’s game against the Washington Wizards.
Joel Embiid, Paul George, Kyle Lowry, KJ Martin, and Jared McCain will be sidelined with various injuries. Martin and McCain’s absences are far from surprising because they’ve been sidelined and weren’t expected to play.
However, Embiid (sprained left foot) and Lowry (right hip soreness) will miss their second consecutive game and George will be sidelined with left groin tightness. Meanwhile, Andre Drummond, who also missed Monday’s game against the Phoenix Suns, is listed as questionable with a sprained left toe.
This news comes after Embiid, Drummond, Lowry, Martin, and McCain missed Tuesday’s practice.
Martin has missed the last seven games with a stress reaction in his left foot. Meanwhile, McCain rejoined the team on Monday after having left knee surgery in mid-December. The rookie guard is out indefinitely.

Embiid is averaging 24.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in 13 games. The 2023 NBA MVP has missed 20 games because of left knee swelling, load management, a sinus fracture, a foot injury, and a three-game suspension.
Lowry, who is averaging 4.2 points and 2.7 assists, has missed nine games in total. Drummond has missed five of the last seven games. He is averaging 7.0 points and 7.9 rebounds. And George, who is averaging 16.2 points, has missed 10 games this season.
Wednesday’s game against the Wizards (6-28) will mark the first of this season’s three meetings.
