Limited number of fans now sitting courtside during Sixers games at Wells Fargo Center

The 76ers are getting back to normalcy.
For the first time this season, a limited number of fans sat courtside during the Sixers’ game against the Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday night at the Wells Fargo Center.
All fans sitting courtside were required to take an on-site rapid COVID test prior to entry. After presenting a negative test, they received a wrist band and entered through a separate designated entrance.
Fans sitting within 30 feet of the arena floor may only eat or drink in the building’s Center City Club. No food or beverages will be permitted in the courtside seats. Facemasks must also be worn at all times except for eating and drinking in the Center City Club.

The Sixers started having around 3,000 ticketed fans at the arena on March 14 when they played the San Antonio Spurs. The Sixers prevailed that night, 134-99, in what was their first home game after the All-Star break. Saturday marked their fifth game with ticketed fans in the stands.
Iggy Brazdeikis is excited to join Sixers
The Sixers introduced Iggy Brazdeikis, one of their newest players, to the media on Saturday.
The second-year small forward was acquired from the New York Knicks on March 25 in a three-team deal that enabled the Sixers to get George Hill from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Brazdeikis spent a chunk of his time with the Knicks’ NBA G League affiliate, the Westchester Knicks, averaging 20.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in a combined 36 games over two seasons.
In regards to the NBA, the 6-foot-6, 221-pounder has only made a combined 13 appearances with the Knicks, with four coming this season. He’s averaged 1.5 points and 4.6 minutes in those 13 appearances.
“It’s been all kind of crazy,” he said of the trade process. “Everything happened really fast. Biggest thing is I’m really excited to be here, grateful for this opportunity to be a part of this organization, this winning organization.
“Everyone’s been great so far, everything’s been smooth, getting workouts in and stuff just getting used to the whole place.”
Brazdeikis, who was born in Lithuania, arrived in the Philadelphia area the day after the trade. He’s been working out with player development staff members at the Sixers’ practice facility in Camden while the team was on the road trip. He met his new teammates during Saturday’s shootaround. Hill and new two-way player Mason Jones were also in attendance.

Hill gets up shots
Hill did not participate in any team workouts at the shootaround.
The 34-year-old point guard had surgery on his right thumb on Feb. 2 and is still doing rehab. The Sixers don’t want to rush him back.
“No contact,” Doc Rivers said of George. “He shot the ball. He shoots the ball great. But there’s no timetable or anything like that yet.”
