Soccer on TV: Atlético Madrid vs. Real is Spain’s game of the season
And the Bundesliga comes to ABC for the first time ever, showcasing Germany's biggest rivalry game.
Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Dortmund
Saturday, 12:30 p.m. (6ABC, ESPN Deportes, ESPN+)
The Bundesliga comes to ABC for the first time ever, and it’s only fitting that the debut is German soccer’s biggest game. ESPN is going all-out for the occasion, with supplementary online streaming of a star cam focused on Bayern’s Alphonso Davies. (It was to include Dortmund’s Gio Reyna too, but he’s not on the gameday squad.)
Derek Rae and Taylor Twellman will have the call on ABC — Rae’s first game on ABC in nearly seven years — and Jurgen Klinsmann will be one of the studio analysts.
As a cherry on top, first-place Bayern has a title race on its hands. Second-place Leipzig is within two points of first and could temporarily jump over Bayern with a win at Freiburg earlier Saturday (9:30 a.m., ESPN+).

Osasuna vs. Barcelona
Saturday, 3 p.m. (beIN Sports, beIN Sports Español)
A day before Barcelona elects its new president, the team plays another huge game in La Liga. Lionel Messi and Co. are on a 15-game unbeaten streak in the league, and on Wednesday showed some real fire in a comeback win over Sevilla in the Copa del Rey semifinals. With a win over 12th-place Osasuna, Barcelona would move within two points of first-place Atlético Madrid.
Speaking of which …
Atlético Madrid vs. Real Madrid
Sunday, 10:15 a.m. (beIN Sports, beIN Sports Español)
It’s the game of the weekend across Europe and the game of the season in Spain. If Atlético wins, its lead over Real will go up to eight points and a game in hand. But if Real wins, it will be within two, and Barcelona would be as well, as noted above.
Can Atlético hold on and steady its way to a first La Liga title since 2014? You just know Luis Suárez will have something to do with it either way. He has 11 goals and 5 assists in 17 career games against Real. But he’s currently in a five-game scoring drought, his longest of the season.

Manchester City vs. Manchester United
Sunday, 11:30 a.m. (NBCSN, Universo)
If anyone you know tries to claim that a United win here would reopen the Premier League title race, tell them to stop trying to make fetch happen. The gap between first-place Man City and the currently second-place Red Devils would be a mere 11 points.
That said, if United prevails, City would be stuck having only tied its club record winning streak at 28 games, instead of beating it. So neither team will need motivation for this rivalry game.
Chelsea vs. Everton
Monday, 1 p.m. (NBCSN, Universo)
This is the actual game of the round in the Premier League. Chelsea moved up to fourth place with a 1-0 win at Liverpool on Thursday, and now has an 11-game unbeaten streak in all competitions. Eight of those games have been shutouts. Everton is in fifth thanks to its first win at Liverpool since 1999 on Feb. 20, and a 1-0 home win over Southampton this past Monday.
One other note on this game: In honor of International Women’s Day, NBCSN will have former English women’s soccer player Karen Carney - one of the top voices on British TV - calling the play-by-play.

Inter vs. Atalanta
Monday, 2:45 p.m. (ESPN+)
We also have to wait until Monday for the game of the round in Serie A. First-place Inter enters the weekend with a six-point lead over second-place Milan. Atalanta and Juventus are tied in third, though Juventus has a game in hand. Inter’s Romelu Lukaku has six goals and five assists in his last six games, including assists on both goals in a 2-1 win at Parma on Thursday.
