The American Athletic Conference announced that Temple’s scheduled game at Central Florida on Saturday was canceled because of a positive test within the Owls’ program.

The decision places Temple in its third pause of the 2020-21 season. A game next Saturday at the Liacouras Center against Wichita State is all that remains on the Owls’ schedule but that may be in jeopardy.

Temple (5-10, 4-10 AAC) defeated South Florida, 65-47, on Wednesday. Instead of flying back home, the Owls opted to stay in Florida in between games.

The AAC Tournament begins March 11. If the Wichita State game is called off, Temple will be entering the conference tourney without having played for more than two weeks. The Owls are ninth in the AAC standings.
