NFL betting picks: Don’t count on these road favorites in Week 14
Losing to Bill Belichick and Tom Brady in back-to-back weeks would sum up the Buffalo Bills’ season.
This week’s NFL picks:
Baltimore at Cleveland, 1 p.m.
The Browns are 6-6, have lost four straight in this series (including two weeks ago), have a quarterback who is clearly not 100%, and just lost lineman Jack Conklin for the season with a torn patella. The pick: Yet Cleveland is still laying 2.5. We’ll take the underdog Ravens.
Dallas at Washington, 1 p.m.
Washington (6-6) is two games back of Dallas (8-4) in the NFC East. At BetMGM, Dallas is -650 to win the division, Washington is +750. That’s quite a discrepancy given how close they are. The pick: Washington (+4) is a teaser with Baltimore.

Buffalo at Tampa Bay, 4:25 p.m.
When it comes to stats, Tom Brady being 32-3 all-time against Buffalo is borderline preposterous. The pick: Losing to Bill Belichick and Brady in back-to-back weeks would sum up the Bills’ season. Tampa Bay -3.
L.A. Rams at Arizona, Monday, 8:15 p.m.
Rams receiver Cooper Kupp has at least seven catches in eight consecutive games, and is leading the league in catches (100), targets (136), yards (1,366), and TD catches (11). He’s 125-1 to win MVP, but just 2-1 to win offensive player of the year. The pick: Jalen Ramsay holds DeAndre Hopkins in check, and Kupp has 12 catches. Rams +2.5..
Last week: 1-2. Season: 1-2.
NFL betting notes
Buffalo’s loss on Monday blew up a $10,000 parlay at PointsBet. The player had the Cardinals, Bucs, Dolphins, Rams, Chiefs and Colts safely in the win column. But Buffalo (laying 2.5) lost outright, denying a payout of $569,938.22. Gasp.
The sports gaming site Action Network noted following Monday night’s New England-Buffalo game that unders are 13-3 in NFL games with winds of 25 mph or better. That’s 81.3%. The over/under for New England-Buffalo opened at 46 and was down to 39.5 in some spots at kickoff. The Patriots won, 14-10. Overs never had a chance.
None of those 16 games involved the Eagles, but P.J. Walsh of the Action Network said their database has the wind at 23 mph when the Birds got roasted by the Giants nine years ago, 42-7. That was Andy Reid’s final game as Eagles coach.
