Swimming: Men's 200-meter breaststroke

Matt Fallon competes in the 200-meter breaststroke qualifiers just after 7 a.m. The Penn swimmer set the American record in the event at Olympic trials and is the first swimmer from Penn to ever make the Olympic Games.

Men's volleyball: USA vs. Germany

Penn State’s Max Holt (pictured), Aaron Russell, and Matt Anderson play Germany at 7 a.m. in their second game of the group stage after beating 2021 bronze medalists Argentina in straight sets.

Women’s 3x3 basketball

Philly native Marcedes Walker, who played collegiately at Pitt, competes for Azerbaijan against Spain at 3 p.m. in the 3x3 women’s basketball competition. Team USA will also compete against Germany at 11:30 a.m.

Fencing: Women's team épée

Penn State’s Margherita Guzzi Vincenti will compete for Team USA and Penn State assistant coach Renata Knapik-Miazga will compete for Poland in the women’s team épée competition, beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Men's soccer: USA vs. Guinea

The Union’s Nathan Harriel (pictured) and Jack McGlynn, and Medford native Paxton Aaronson take on Guinea at 1 p.m. after winning their second match of the group stage against New Zealand.

Women's gymnastics: Team final

It might not be local, but how could we forget Simone Biles (pictured), Suni Lee, Jade Carey, and Jordan Chiles, who will look to avenge their silver medal from 2021 starting at 12:15 p.m. The men's team won the bronze on Monday.
