Aronimink Golf Club says it will host PGA Championship in 2026, not 2027
Aronimink Golf Club, which had been selected to host the 2027 PGA Championship, will host the 2026 golf major instead to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the nation's birthday.

Aronimink Golf Club, which had been awarded the 2027 PGA Championship, will host the 2026 PGA instead, officials announced Tuesday.
In a statement, the board of governors of the Newtown Square facility said the change was agreed upon so that the championship will coincide with the 250th anniversary celebration of the founding of the United States in Philadelphia.
The statement said the board is “very pleased with this change as it aligns with our original preference to host this event in 2026 during such a historic milestone celebration for the United States.”
The club also will host the 2020 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
Aronimink hosted the BMW Championship in September. Keegan Bradley beat Justin Rose in a rain-delayed playoff to win among a field featuring the likes of Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson.
