Philadelphia Folk Festival

(Music) The longest continuously running outdoor music festival in North America is back and celebrating its 60th anniversary. This year, you have the option of enjoying the festival in person or tuning in virtually. Either way, you’ll be taking in multiple stages of music acts featuring artists like The War and Treaty and Arrested Development. Philly Pedals for Progress

(Fund-raiser) Put your biking shoes on and get ready to ride for a cause. Pedals for Progress was created to raise awareness of gun violence and benefits the Anti-Violence Partnership of Philadelphia. You can join in-person or support virtually. Manayunk Dog Day of Summer

West Philadelphia Arts Jamboree

(Music) Get ready for an afternoon of art and music for the whole family. This event will feature live music, performances, and visual arts. Derrick Adams: Sanctuary

(History) Don’t miss your last chance to see “Derrick Adams: Sanctuary” at the African American Museum in Philadelphia. The exhibit includes 50 pieces of art that reimagine safe destinations for Black travelers during the mid-20th century. The exhibit was inspired by The Negro Motorist Green Book, which Black travelers used during the Jim Crow era to find safe places to eat and sleep. (Through Aug. 28, 701 Arch St., aampmuseum.org)

Walls for Justice Waterfront Group Ride and Cycling Festival

(Community) Grab a helmet and bike to the pier for a festival packed with music, great vendors and more. The bike ride will take off from Race Street Pier and end at Penn Treaty Park. Summer Heat Pool Party

Historic Germantown Photo Walk

(History) Grab your camera and head out to capture all of the historic richness of Germantown. Community Collage Quilt Project
