Peace Day Philly

(Community / free) Since 2011, Philadelphian Lisa Parker has been metamorphosing U.N.’s International Day of Peace into something decidedly local. The multiday celebration and thought fest includes events you might expect — a half-day of meditation, drumming, literature, discussions, a job fair. The headlining event at the Ethical Society (Sept. 18, 6-8 p.m.) features a panel of who’s who of Philly peacemakers, folks behind our MLK Day of Service, POWER, the Welcoming Center, and ArtWell.

Paul Revere’s Philadelphia Connection, Carpenters’ Hall
