Beyoncé celebrated her birthday at Made in America with two Philly-made cakes

Beyoncé had a pretty sweet birthday celebration this weekend, thanks to a Philly bakery.

While Bey’s b-day is actually Sept. 4, she and her team marked the occasion a few days early while in town over Labor Day Weekend for Made in America. As the Queen Bee posted on social media today, that celebration included a special cake from Cake Life Bake Shop.

Bey’s photo showed her holding a funfetti cake from the Fishtown cake shop, which features layers of funfetti vanilla cake and vanilla buttercream icing, all topped with confetti sprinkles, icing dollops, and a message reading “Happy birthday B!”

A second cake from Cake Life also made its way to Beyoncé, though the singer did not post a picture of it on social media. According to a rep, that creation was a peaches and cream cake, which consists of bourbon-soaked vanilla cake layered with caramelized peaches and mascarpone whipped cream, all wrapped in cream cheese frosting and topped with dehydrated peach slices.

This year marks the second of Beyoncé’s birthdays for which Cake Life has provided some baked goods. Previously, in 2017, the bakery made Bey a black-and-gold, three-tiered geode birthday cake.

“Happy early birthday to our Queen,” Cake Life wrote on Instagram. “We hope you enjoyed your cakes!”

If she did, that wouldn’t be the only fun Beyoncé had in Philly over the weekend. She was also sighted dancing to Lizzo’s set at Made in America on Sunday, when cameras caught her grooving to the singer’s track “Tempo” backstage.

Bey and husband Jay-Z also have a history of enjoying Philly’s other culinary offerings. As the Inquirer reported back in 2017, the pair have been spotted enjoying dishes at Talula’s Garden on Washington Square several times over the years.
