Duck Donuts to bring fifth Pennsylvania location to King of Prussia this summer

A donut shop chain with roots in North Carolina is expanding its presence in Pennsylvania with plans to add another location in the state with a King of Prussia store.

Set to open in July this year, Duck Donuts' King of Prussia franchise will be located in Suite 160 of the King of Prussia Town Center at 201 Main Street, and will serve as the company's fifth store in Pennsylvania, according to a release. Currently, there are Duck Donuts locations in or planned for Lancaster, Hershey, Pittsburgh, and Mechanicsburg, where the company's corporate offices are located.

The planned 1,500-square-foot store, a release says, will bring between 25 and 40 jobs to the area. However, Duck Donuts founder and owner Russ DiGilio said via a release that he is just happy to further establish the brand with area franchisers in Pennsylvania, where he was raised.

"I grew up in the Rosemont area, and it's personally rewarding for me to not only deepen Duck Donuts' roots in Pennsylvania, but to bring our award-winning warm, made-to-order donuts to my hometown community," DiGilio said.

The King of Prussia location will operate from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. More information is available on the location's Facebook page.

DiGilio launched Duck Donuts in 2006 in Duck, North Carolina, expanding the brand to our Outer Banks-area locations by 2011. Currently, the chain has 36 franchises in operation, with eight more openings planned by May.

The company's Hershey location is set for a May opening, according to a release. The Pittsburgh location is scheduled to open this spring.
