The first Philadelphia Cheesesteak Festival is coming to Lincoln Financial Field this fall, and between its 40 vendors, zip lining, and 450-foot cheesesteak, it could be the one sandwich festival to rule them all.

It's all happening Saturday, Oct. 24, and expect to fill up on steak samples from a slew of local shops, both well-known and obscure.

But don't overeat, please — after all, you'll need to be alert for the Philadelphia Cheesesteak Festival's live music, carnival games, shopping, and, of course, mechanical bull riding.

Then there's the matter of the competitive cheesesteak-eating contest, which is only for Philadelphians brave of heart and strong of character. If that's not you, though, you can just hang out at wait for Cheesy — Philly's "new cheesesteak mascot" — to show up. Darren Daulton will reportedly be on hand as well.

Tickets for the festival are currently available under classes "Witout," "Wit," and "The Works," which run $20, $40, and $60, respectively. "Witout" offers festival access, while "Wit" and "The Works" include samples, a T-shirt, and complimentary zip line and mechanical bull rides.

And with all that, we're lucky to be a few months out from the event itself. After all, we'll need some time to ready our stomachs.
