Brown Betty Dessert Boutique closing its store, going wholesale
Chief among them is a partnership with Patti LaBelle and Walmart that has Brown Betty's sweet potato pound cake loafs in more than 500 stores.
Oct. 1 will be the last day to walk into Brown Betty Dessert Boutique in Northern Liberties to snag cupcakes.
The women will sell off small bakery kitchen items plus furniture and accessories on Sept. 24, Sept. 25, and on Oct. 1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The last pre-order cake/dessert pickups will be on Sep. 25. On closing day, Oct. 1, the whole family - including matriarch/namesake Betty Hinton - will be there.
