Can chef Matt Levin beat Bobby Flay?

The chef for Brûlée Catering at the National Constitution Center has a date on the Food Network show "Beat Bobby Flay."

It takes a certain level of confidence to go on the Food Network series Beat Bobby Flay to cook against the New York-bred celeb Iron Chef.

Chef Matt Levin named one of his Philly restaurants Adsum - Latin for "I am here."

Levin, executive chef for Brûlée Catering at the National Constitution Center, will go up against Flay on Thursday, March 3 at 10 p.m. The episode is titled "Expect the Unexpected," but since the Food Network is withholding plot details, we don't know what to expect. Except the unexpected, that is.

Levin has a varied background at work. The Culinary Institute of America grad put out some of the most inventive, uppity plates in town in his time at Lacroix at the Rittenhouse, as well as fun treats such as burgers served on Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes while at Adsum. (The Food Network identifies Levin as a "hotshot" in its blurb.)
