'Chew' host Michael Symon to open restaurant at Borgata

Italian theme,. No name yet.

Casinos never tire of attaching chefs' names to their restaurants.

In the latest development, Michael Symon, a Food Network veteran and a host of ABC's The Chew, will open an Italian restaurant at the Borgata in Atlantic City next fall.

The Associated Press reported this morning that the unnamed eatery would join restaurants by fellow Iron Chefs Bobby Flay and Geoffrey Zakarian, and chefs Wolfgang Puck and Philly's Michael Schulson at the property.

I've learned that Symon's restaurant will occupy the former SeaBlue by chef Michael Mina, which closed three years ago.

The Cleveland-rooted Symon, who has Greek and Italian ancestry, has restaurants in his hometown, in Detroit, and bars in Pittsburgh International Airport and Washington Dulles International Airports.
