Farm and Fisherman Tavern signs deal to open in Montco

Horsham is getting the modern-day tavern.

Josh Lawler and Todd Fuller, riding high with their Cherry Hill family-friendly farm-to-table tavern/market The Farm and Fisherman, are setting up in the Pennsylvania suburbs.

They've signed to open a Farm and Fisherman Tavern at the newly renovated Horsham Corner, a shopping center at Norristown and Horsham Roads, across from the old Willow Grove Naval Air Station (aka the Horsham Air Guard Station).

Lawler says this Farm and Fisherman will be parallel to the Cherry Hill location, "where we pair preparations of regional, seasonal produce and proteins with a carefully selected, all-American wine list, boutique spirits, barrel-aged cocktails and local drafts, in a comfortable, family friendly, modern-day tavern."

The new location will not include a market. They are aiming for an early spring opening 2017.

Lawler says they are still looking for a location in Philadelphia. Lawler and his wife, Colleen, had a BYOB called the Farm and Fisherman at 1120 Pine St. It closed earlier this year.

Andrew Shpigel of MSC Retail, who brokered the deal, said a Jersey Mike's is due to open shortly. The other restaurants in the center include Sushiwa, a sushi specialist, and Bagel and Bread House.
