Funky Lil' Kitchen - Michael Falcone's sweet BYO in Pottstown - will close after dinner Saturday, Oct. 5, capping a nearly 10-year run.

"I need a change," said Falcone, who has been planning for a while to shift gears (as it were) by starting the Heart food truck.

It will roll through the burbs, as needed, from northern Chester County, through the Main Line and into Montgomery County and occasionally Philly.

"It's the freedom factor," he said. "I can make my own hours." He seeks more time with his fiancee, Tonda Woodling.

Pottstown won't even be losing a restaurant.

Falcone said he has sold FLK, at 232 King St., to chef Greg Vassos, who is planning a more refined BYOB called Racine. Vassos' resume includes the signature L'Escalier restaurant at The Breakers in West Palm Beach, Fla.
