Restaurant notes: Ansill space has a tenant

Chef Jason Cichonski will front this "progressive American" restaurant, owned by Chip Roman.

Chefs-besties Jason Cichonski and Chip Roman, now running Mica in Chestnut Hill, have posted an orange liquor app on the Third and Bainbridge Streets property last occupied by Ansill. (It was Judy's, most notably). You may recall that Stephen Starr had planned to open an Italian restaurant for Chris Painter there before Starr moved the project to Locust Street, where it has languished.

The "progressive American" restaurant, not yet named, will be run by Cichonski, who is aiming for "casual yet sophisticated, and will feature cocktails, wine and beer.

Roman will be owner, and he's keeping Mica, Blackfish in Conshohocken, and Charles Roman Catering.

Look for a late fall opening.
