Restaurant notes: Wilmington takeover; Artful Dodger closes

Harry's buys a Trolley Square landmark; new owners expected at Head House Square taproom; more Main Line pizza.

  1. Kid Shelleen's Charcoal House & Saloon in Wilmington's Trolley Square is under new ownership, effective today. Buyer is Xavier Teixido of Harry's, who helped open the place in 1984. Teixido is partnered with David Leo Banks, executive chef at Harry's Hospitality Group and co-owner of Harry's Seafood Grill and Harry's Fish Market + Grill, and Kelly O'Hanlon, general manager of Harry's Hospitality Group. No changes are expected initially. Last month, Harry's hired chef Tony Clark to work at flagship Harry's Savoy Grill.

  2. The Artful Dodger at Second and Pine Streets on Head House Square has closed. Foobooz noted a sign on the door, which lists the phone number of owner Pete Dunn. Supposedly, new owners are on the way.

  3. A Main Line branch of Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza is looking to open just after Labor Day at 321 E. Lancaster Ave. in Wayne.
