Sbraga opening second Broad St. restaurant
The Philly Top Chef winner is taking the corner of Broad and South Streets for an American rotisserie.
Kevin Sbraga, the Philly Top Chef winner, has signed a deal for his third restaurant.
He is three-for-three with developer Carl Dranoff, as this new spot will be in SouthStar Lofts, Dranoff's new building at Broad and South Streets. Sbraga's eponymous Sbraga opened in 2011 at Symphony House, two blocks away at Broad and Pine Streets. His Southern-themer, The Fat Ham, occupies a space on the ground floor of The Left Bank at 3131 Walnut St. in University City.
The new restaurant, which does not have a name yet, will focus on rotisserie cooking and will have a raw bar It will occupy SouthStar's ground floor on the northeast corner of Broad and South Streets, as Dranoff and Sbraga disclosed Wednesday at a news conference at the site. Eimer Design, who designed The Fat Ham, will design.
The restaurant is expected to open in early fall.
