The Dutch debuts Thursday in Pennsport
Get the name? Owners Lee Styer (Fond) has a Pennsylvania Dutch background, while his new business partner, Joncarl Lachman (Noord, Neuf), has Dutch roots.
Two of the city's top chefs are getting together for brunch in Pennsport.
It's The Dutch, opening at the corner of Fourth and Cross Streets (1527 S. Fourth St., 215-755-5600) and the name is a bit of wordplay.
Owners Lee Styer (Fond) has a Pennsylvania Dutch background, while his new business partner, Joncarl Lachman (Noord, Neuf), has Dutch roots.
The idea for the snug, homey bruncherie grew out of a tipsy, late-night omelet cook-off between the men, who knew that the nook, formerly Fourth & Cross, was available for lease.
It will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday.
