Main & Vine, opening soon in Villanova, names its chef
Main & Vine, owned by Jay Stevens and Kim Strengari, will go for what is described as a fresh-from-the-vine approach.
Main & Vine at 789 E. Lancaster Ave., taking the former Avenue Kitchen space in mid-March, has brought in Charles Vogt as chef.
Vogt, 28, a graduate of the Academy of Culinary Arts in Mays Landing, N.J., worked previously at the Water Club at Borgata in Atlantic City, and the D.C. area's Mussel Bar & Grille and Brasserie Beck.
Main & Vine, owned by Jay Stevens and Kim Strengari, will go for what is described as a fresh-from-the-vine approach, using natural ingredients though keeping a casual, Northern California culinary style. Kitchen will make its own sourdough, to be used for pizzas.
