Puyero Venezuelan Flavor

Center CityVenezuelan, South American, BYOB, Latin American$

After the Phillies celebrated their World Series Game 3 victory in 2022, only one post-game meal would suffice for pitchers Ranger Suárez and José Alvarado, both Venezuelan natives: cachapas, arepas, and other classics from Puyero, the fast-casual Venezuelan spot in Society Hill. Puyero offers up party boxes of tequeños by the dozen — either hot and ready to eat or frozen with reheating instructions (a pro-move for your upcoming Eagles watch party) — as well as comforting favorites, including pabellón criollo, a national dish featuring shredded beef and plantains. Breakfast service, offered on weekends from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., retools hits like the arepas but folds new characters, like eggs and bacon, into the mix.
